Environmentally Sustainable Design (ESD)

ESD is a substantial part of our work at C.J. Arms and Associates and we have completed a number of major commercial projects incorporating black water treatment plants and rainwater harvesting, including the first 6-Star green office building in Australia - CH2. We have extensive experience in water, stormwater and black water treatment including:

Sewer mining - this includes the extraction of raw waste water from the Authority sewer main drains, the design of a suitable treatment system and the production of Class A water for re-use purposes.
Potable water treatment
Black and Grey water treatment
Environmental passive wet land design, black water and stormwater systems - these are non mechanical systems that can produce Class A water and even portable water from black water utilising membrane treatment
Rainwater harvesting for large roofs

The re-use water options include toilet flushing, cooling tower make up water, sprinkler test water, process water and irrigation water.
